Cairns Regional Council joins the 21st Century:
Cairns Regional Council are trialling free Wifi in the CDB. It is almost a certainty that Cairns will go on to provide this free Wifi service.
After a long time of experimenting with QR codes Council have produced a web app and this QR code goes straight to the mobile web app. (Previously all the QR codes went to full sized websites which defeats the purpose of reading the code with a phone.)
The Recycle Right app also has a home screen button which was lacking in their previous attempts. The app is about re-cycling rubbish, which we can all participate in, but the important thing is that the magnificent City of Cairns is becoming mobile friendly.
